Preaching On Integrating Faith Orange County

By Edward Olson

Traditional biblical principles stress that Christians will necessarily be different than others in their culture, or 'in the world.' Once someone gives his heart and life to Jesus Christ, accepts the sacrifice of God's son that pays for sin, and surrenders all to the Lord, the change will be obvious. If not, there is something wrong. The conviction that true faith will influence all facets of life is why there is so much preaching on integrating faith Orange County California. In fact, this universal truth is proclaimed in bible-believing churches everywhere.

This way of thinking, which is part of what is called 'a biblical world view', will hold true for all aspects of life. A follower of Christ should be different at home, at work, at church, and at play. It will change the way people see the world, how they treat their neighbors, organize their family life, and regard money.

Obviously there are many topics for sermons in this broad subject. Ministers exhort, or encourage, their listeners to 'walk the walk' rather than merely 'talk the talk'. If a person has really been transformed by a personal encounter with Jesus, the proof will be shown in every facet of life. A changed life is a strong witness to the power of God and the benefits of surrender.

This is different from the doctrine many churches or evangelists preach. They may say that all a person needs to do is believe and salvation not only follows but is secured forever. In a way this is true, but it does not go far enough. A true conversion, or belief in God and the plan of salvation, always results in a change of heart, mind, and conduct. God does not turn away a contrite heart, but His word is full of contempt for hypocrites.

Orange County, CA is in southern California. It is home to many active and influential bible-believing, spirit-filled churches. There are Christian schools that teach the Bible as the Word of God and call it the blueprint of a life that pleases the creator. An internet search will find churches, bible studies, parenting classes, and more based on biblical teaching and principles.

Everyone should be able to find a class or small group discussion that fits their interests and schedules. There are parenting groups, youth meetings, young adult gatherings, and sessions for singles. Joining a small group is a good way to meet other believers and feel connected even in huge and diverse congregations.

This idea of living out your faith is taught in churches and seminaries everywhere. You'll hear it on the radio and see it preached and discussed on television. There are many good books on the subject, because this issue is vital to Christianity.

All of this effort is designed to counter the tendency of many to attend church faithfully but live the rest of their life as people who are indifferent to Christ. They may still use foul language, cheat on their taxes, slack off on the job, neglect their families, or drink to excess. This kind of behavior is not what the Lord wants for his children.
